Support Us

Since 2016, Oak Lawn Hometown School District 123 and Team World Vision have partnered to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in the developing world.

About 800 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.

_

Join us in our annual 6K Walk for Water. Our goal is to raise over $5,000 to provide clean water for over 100 children. While the race is only $25 to join, we hope you are able to raise as much money as possible to assist the many children in need.

Please register to join our team and begin fundraising. The event will take place Saturday, September 23rd at 9:00am. The race starts at Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School located at 5345 W. 99th Street in Oak Lawn.

Any questions can be addressed to Heather McCarthy at [email protected].

World Vision provides more clean water than any nongovernment organization in the world. They work with communities around the world to help solve the puzzle of poverty -- providing things like clean water, nutritious food, education, medical care, economic opportunity, and spiritual development.
