It's a mission close to my heart, inspired by Matthew 10:42, which reminds us of the profound impact even a cup of water can have on someone's life.
In many communities, especially in the developing world, the lack of clean water means children, particularly girls, must trek long distances to collect water from unsafe sources. This not only robs them of precious time but also exposes them to illnesses. Shockingly, half of the children under five in these areas don't make it to their fifth birthday due to waterborne diseases.
But there's hope. With clean water, lives are transformed. Children can attend school, play, and dream of a brighter future. That's why I'm reaching out to you today. Did you know that more than 800 children under five die every day from diseases linked to contaminated water? It's a staggering statistic, but one we can change.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I'm committed to helping those less fortunate, and I'm honored to have been part of Team World Vision's efforts in events like the Moraine Hills "Run For The Hills Half Marathon". My wife Sue and I have put in well over 1,000 miles of training since 2022, and we're excited to continue our journey in 2024.
This year, I've already logged over 100 miles in preparation for the upcoming event. But my real goal extends beyond the miles – I aim to bring clean water and change the lives of 524 people through your generous sponsorships, totaling $26,200 (or more)!
2024 Totals training for this year's Half Marathon:
262 miles running/walking (includes 44 5Ks, 5 10Ks and 1 Half Marathon)
43 miles indoor rowing (70,000 meters, that's 14 5Ks)
3 miles outdoor bicycling
7 miles indoor biking
316 total miles (would equal 12 marathons in distance so far)
