Last year, I joined Team World Vision and ran my first marathon, the 2023 Detroit Free Press. What an experience!
Let me say, I am not a runner. Before each run, whether 3 miles or 20, I get anxious and know there is only one way to get through it…prayer. Doing this helped me accomplish so much in my faith journey.
When I joined Team World Vision, I knew little about it, but I quickly realized how amazing they are and what incredible work they do!
Running for more than myself not only gave me more motivation to keep going but also allowed me to include my family in what I was doing. Fundraising is hard, even harder than running. Their help and support through all of it made me more determined.
As a momma, it feels empowering to help other mommas and their children grow up in safer, healthier, more stable communities. Being part of Team World Vision allows me and others to help around the world.
This year, I am going to BERLIN, where I’ll be running in the 50th Anniversary of the Berlin Marathon! But more importantly, I am increasing my fundraising goal to $10K AND 10 child sponsorships!
These are big goals, and I need your help to reach them!
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.
$50 = clean water for 1 person
