Shuttles & Parking

Northview High School | 4451 Hunsberger Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525
No parking at race venue. Shuttles run every 15 minutes from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm. No bicycles allowed on shuttles.

Swim

Ultra Distance: 2 Loops (2.4 miles)
Half Distance: 1 Loop (1.2 miles)
Olympic Distance: Smaller Loop (1500 m)
Sprint Distance: Smaller Loop (750 m)

*Time Trial start every 5 seconds

Wet Suits:
>78 Deg: Legal
78-84 Deg: Wear at own discretion, but not eligible for prizes/awards
>84 Deg: Prohibited

*Aid station at exit with Gatorade and water

Bike

Full Distance: Double Loop (112 miles)
Half Distance: Single Loop (56 miles)

*There will be 3 aid stations providing Gatorade, Water, Bananas, Pretzels, GU Gel, and ice.

Olympic Distance: Out/Back (24 miles)
Sprint Distance: Out/Back (12 miles)

Helmets with chin strap must be worn at all times on bike. Avoid drafting (5 bike lengths). Pass on left within 15 seconds.

Run

Ultra Distance: 4 Loops (26.2 miles)
Half Distance: 2 Loops (13.1 miles)
Olympic Distance: Single Lap (6.2 miles)
Sprint Distance: Out/Back Shortened Loop (3.1 miles)

Spectathlete Race Day Details

Spectathletes, you are a crucial part of race day! You make this day special for your triathletes and all the other athletes out there on the course. If you've ever done any kind of race, you know how meaningful the crowds cheers are. Be sure to cheer on all Team World Vision participants by name, wear orange, and plan on being loud! A sign or cowbell is a great addition too.

Run Cheer Station 

At the TWV tent in the Chase Bank parking lot. See your runner off, cheer them on at the turnaround, and join them to cross the finish line!

Finish Line Party

We will celebrate athletes from all distances throughout the day. After you cross the finish line, stay to cheer in those who will be crossing the finish line till late into the night. The race has give-aways and BIG discounts to anyone who stays till midnight. Snacks at the TWV tent, delicious post race finish fuel provided to athletes, and dozens of local restaurants within walking distance.
